My Weekly Wishlist

How are you my sweethearts? Having a lovely week so far? I hope you did as I had something big happened recently. Nothing special, but costs me an unexpected bill and a headache. However, in order to try not to pay attention on it, I turned to my online shopping. I got quite a list here and I am thinking of doing a outfit list later as fashion weeks are coming soon. Definitely there will have loads of beauties and handsomes with stylish clothes out there, maybe this is a good idea to make a list.

Let's have a look what I am up to this week:

Vogue Paris recently pop-up quite a few RINGS from different designers, and this one caught my attention the most. Arthus-Bertrand is a totally new brand to me. I have no idea about the brand, however this princess caught me. It was simple but elegant. Of course, the shininess, the 1 carat solitaire, is the main point of the ring, isn't it? This absolutely lovely beauty is definitely designed for you, the lady who wishes for a dream royal wedding. Sadly, the website is not quite internationally friendly, I could not understand FRENCH at all, therefore I could not find the price for it *sobbing*

Note to my future husband: FYI This is an example for my engagement ring, please buy me something similar please XD I really love it. There is no point for me to buy for myself lol

Miu Miu Noir sunglasses is not a recent fall-in-love item already. Back to 2 months ago, I was with my friends and her mum in Sunglass Hut in the city. Since I am not eager to buy a new pair of sunnies at that time, I am just wandering around the shop, trying on this and that. Firstly, I am quite into Ray-ban, yet I could not find anything that fit myself. So I started searching around and Miu Miu polygon sunglasses just stand out on the shelf and I fall in love with it. Try it on and ask and the salesgirl explained in detail...... The price is just higher than I can afford at that time. Surprisingly, I was searching for a birthday present few days ago and I came across this sunnies again. It is like 70% less than last time I asked from the store. I may just go for it later this month once I got my pay :)

Loafers is always my first choice. But having a pair of good-looking and comfortable loafers is not that easy. I currently have a pair styled with tiger-printed fur, is absolutely my favourite. Though it is not a brand shoes, I just bought it from Goodwill with 5 dollars, they serve me fantastic. I think I had them for a year already, but they still in a good shape which means my 5 dollars is super worthy. I came across Céline only recently, even I was in UK last year, I did not really pay much attention to this brand. However, I was reading novel few days ago and it appears within the lines. And I told myself  "Ah... I should look it up. The author describes the shoes in an excellent way and I seem like this brand now (without actually what the shoes look like and do not even recognise the brand). Therefore, I popped into their site, have a browse and found this pair of loafers. OMG.. This is the blue that I like. The shoe shape that I am very fond of. I love everything of the shoe!! Er... What should I do??

Sorry that the weekly wishlist becomes a fortnightly wishlist. Busy working these days and caught a cold. Recovering now. Hope to catch up on my speed soon.

Busy week.

Dear all, I am quite tired these days. Not because I am sick or have been stuck at home for the whole day, but I go to work almost everyday. Although all of the jobs are not that difficult and I did enjoy working for my bosses and with my colleagues, I am out of breath now. Yes, maybe you are wondering what I am doing during my week, besides searching and browsing on the net, watching dramas, I did do some morning exercises and work damn hard, that is the reason why I did not post My Weekly Wishlist last week. I have worked out part of the list, choosing the things I really want, I still cannot finish it as I haven't got enough time to browse on the web.  Moreover, I am thinking of doing a new section call Fun Fact Q&A. Thanks for the beer lids, especially Hahn Beer lol, I come up with this idea. Hopefully, everything will fall into piece soon.
Thanks for your patience, waiting for the new posts :)

My Wishlist of the week

Hey buddies!!

I assume every girls loves likes shopping. Me too no denial. But currently, according to my latest financial report, I am quite bankrupt after I bought my iMac. However, I love to do "window" shopping online, there are always many of the unexpected, attractive products waiting for me there. They are gorgeous, absolutely eye candy and I JUST WANT TO HAVE ALL OF THEM. There is one good point of browsing online though - save my bleeding, crying, mourning bank account. Luckily that I am quite rational in front of the monitor, although I am so excited while looking at them and keep telling my friend who (always coincidently) sits next to me:

THE SCENE

Me: "OMG!! It looks super nice and gorgeous!! Check this out!! I want it so much!!"
~ Show her the pictures ~
Friend (already get used to it): "Yeah... It looks very nice. But you want everything, can you please tell me which one you don't want?"
Me: "Er.... So true, but I seriously want this one so much. Don't you think this one is cute?"
Friend: "It is.. How much is it? (look at the price) Wow! Quite expensive man, is that a brand?
Me: "Yeah.. it's an American brand and they really sell nice shoes bla bla bla///////" (pretending I know every detail of the company)

It potentially becomes an endless topic.

I realized that my wishlist cannot be annually or monthly. Therefore I make it WEEKLY. sounds stupid though
I will regularly update my shortened wishlist here, so that you will fall into the weekly wishlist "trap" as I do.
Here's my wishlist of the week:

limited edition

Stubbs & Wootton is doing a 50% off sale from the website. You should definitely check out their shoes. They are absolutely fantastic! Although they are a bit pricey, if you could not afford them like me currently, you still can enjoy yourself in front of the monitor, dreaming they are being worn on your feet. And I would love to use their style as my shoes' style index.

they are doing a huge sale

After seeing my mate have something like this, I just want one. Okay, maybe let me cut my belly first.

In order not to overwhelming you with my list, maybe I shouldn't put that many items these time.
But do check me out on my Pinterest and Instagram. You will be loaded with photos, items and things there :) I cannot wait to see your LIST as well. Show me some of your favourite of the week.

Movie Night - Assault on Wall Street

Sunday Night usually is our relaxing night. Just coincidently, I bought my iMac few days ago which makes everyone quite excited about it. Another coincident was two of our friends said they want to come over for some beer/chat. Therefore, the boy suggested to have a movie night.

As I am still new to iMac, usually I have my movies in rmvb format which uses up less space than others. However, we just discovered that rmvb format is not supported on it, I have to download some softwares later in order to play my rmvb format movies. So while playing them other movies, I rushed into the study room to download some thrill-movies. One of them is Assuault on Wall Street. To be honest, this is totally crap!!! Nothing thrill at all!! Please check out the trailer above, with the intense and staccato-style of soundtrack, the trailer exactly brings the tense and you would like to find out what will happen in the movie. With disappointment, this movie is slow, keep talking about financial crisis which (maybe) some of the American have faced or are still facing. Not until the last 20 minutes of the movie, there is some shootings and killings. Basically, the whole movie is like a documentary showing how people suffered in financial debts and someone (who is the main character here) started to do crazy things. I couldn't find anything that is assaulting the Wall Street.

Frankly, nothing thrill, no interesting things, no climax as you can even guess the ending, this movie totally fail.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!! DON'T WATCH IT!!!

Quite disappointed for a movie night like this.
But no worries, we will watch The Woman in Black tonight, which I quite enjoy last time.
Tell you how my housemates think about it next time.

Monday Catch up - St Louis House of Fine Ice Cream and Dessert

There are lots of things happening in our house lately. Too many troubles and things just come at the same time which makes as do not know what we should do. Right now, we are like those bomb disposal experts who are trying to cut the correct wire in order to stop the explosion. Life is tough this year seriously.

Being an international in a foreign country, friends are just come and go. One of our friends is going home very soon, therefore Monday becomes our weekly coffee catch-up time. Adelaide has been raining for nearly 1.5 week and finally we can see the sun on Monday. Lucky us!! As I work in Central Market on Monday afternoon, hence I decided to drag my ladies to the coffee shop near my workplace.

Located on 19 Gouger Street, just opposite to Ding Hao.
We passed by many times while we were in the car and I always said I must visit one day as the shop looks fancy *blush* And finally I am here. First of all, the interior design looks a bit classy but you feel warm and relax there. Just like going back home, ready for a cup of tea or coffee and (you know) some afternoon snacks.Staff are nice, always have a smiley face and ready to help. Love their attitude.  The ice cream there look so attractive and tempting. They have around 10 different varieties and by looking at the texture and the colour of the ice cream, they should be soft and creamy. Must be some good ice cream I bet. I want to try the wild strawberry one, and see whether they can bet my favourite strawberry ice cream in Hahndorf.  Sadly I had ordered the another dessert later and we had no room for the Waffle Basket (3 different kinds of ice cream in a waffle basket).

We had ordered the I-can't-remember-what-is-it-called dessert plate lol I didn't mean not to remember the name of it, but the name is just too long to memorise. I just remember there is the word 'SWEET'. Anyway, as you can see the picture below, it comes with 3 pieces, the chocolate ice cream sandwich, the chocolate ice cream with QUALITY dark chocolate inside and the chocolate with salted caramel treat. The dark chocolate is brilliant!! It is bitter in some point, however it does not like those you buy from the supermarket. It likes those you have to spend 2-3 bucks each from the display cabinets. Thumb up!! And the chocolate ice cream is marvelous with the rich aroma and smooth texture. We girls totally fall in love with this place. The coffee is okay since we come is not for the coffee but the dessert ;)
Thanks for the relaxing environment, me and Trista at least get rid of those troubles for few hours.

We will come back soon, seriously in love with this little cafe shop in China Town!!
Or maybe next Monday we should try the wine bar nextdoor.

Want to see another review as well?? Here is Samantha Lau's review on St Louis House of Fine Ice Cream and Dessert. Also please visit their Facebook page for more information.

How do you think?? - Problem when you stay overseas for a period of time

I had watched a YouTube video quite a while ago, and currently it has popped up on my recommendation page again, therefore today I would like to talk about it. The video is at the end of this post, but it is in Cantonese and English, sorry that if you could not understand the languages. And thanks [A] for having such a topic.

Staying in Australia nearly 4 years, and because of my degree and the church that I go to, I seldom meet people who speak in my language - Cantonese. I do have some of them speak in Cantonese, however I mostly speak English to them as well. In my mindset, when you stay in places which officially speak English, you should speak English, no matter where the person you are speaking with from, except they can barely speak English. Therefore, within this 4 years, I mostly speak in English. Moreover, I just SOMETIMES talk and text my parents, I actually feel like the Language Level of my Cantonese is decreasing, both writing and speaking.

Here is my situation:

Counting: Cantonese (MUST)
Thinking: Mostly English right now, except in-depth topics
Thinking bad things or ideas: Cantonese
Calculations: Cantonese
Reading: Read English articles more; seldom read in Chinese, however MUST read comics in Chinese
Writing: English
Texting: English, except to parents
Talking: English, except to parents and friends in Hong Kong
Talk to myself: 80% English; 20% Cantonese (while reading/seeing something in Chinese)

Anything that I have left out?? I could not think of it right now, maybe you can remind me by leaving me some comments. But anyhow, this is one of the problems that I found myself stuck in while staying overseas for a certain period of time. The GOOD thing is I know that my English had improved gradually and I am trying my best to increase my word bank these day. However, I feel like now I am in the middle of nowhere. As I seldom speak Cantonese and write in Chinese, my skills are getting blunt. On the other hand, my English did improve, but still not native or professional like. There are still lots of areas that I can improve on. GOSH!! I am losing my native Cantonese ability while trying to survive in my limited English skill. Later maybe I am not skilful in any of the languages. It's SCARY!!!

Now I better keep up with both language, otherwise I will look like an idiot lol

St Kilda Adventure Park - Adelaide

Not the first time going to St Kilda Adventure Park, a park for both adults and children. Every time we do have some fun, although it is not big. I love the park is not because of the 'adventures' that we can play with, not about the slides, the swings or the see-saw, but the environment there. As you know, I love taking pictures, thanks for iPhone and the apps, things become more easy and convenience because of the invention of smartphone. Although I still like to carry my camera around, I cannot edit the pictures straight away. AND it is HEAVY, I do not want to bring it around all the time. Environment in St Kilda is simple, but beautiful. Especially when you reach there by the time of sunset, as it is just by the sea and so peaceful there, the sun is close to the horizon, everything become romantic.

I like taking backlight photos. There are much more for you to think and create while you cannot see the original colour or the actual expression of your 'model'. Except I cannot drive and it is far away from where I live, I would like to go there always, sit there and enjoy the day. Plug in my headphone, listening to some soft music and do some reading and photo taking, what an enjoyable life one could have.

When will you feel lost?

In my (temporarily) entire life, I never really get lost in life. Because everything is about study, study and study. Things that I would ever worry about are "Oh... I haven't finished my homework, what should I do?" or "Exam/test tomorrow, I haven't even read a page. But I'm sleepy right now, let's sleep first and wake up later midnight, do revision!" And you know that you never will wake up and do revision. It's all about study, results, ECA etc. 95% of my life is about study and now suddenly, my school life has ended. I'm not quite used to it. I do enjoy the relaxing moments now, working part time and enjoying life. Of course, it definitely can't last long, I need a proper job. And that's the point. Everyone is asking me what kind of job I can do after my graduation or what kind of job you can actually do... To be franked, I have no idea as well. Works that you want to do may not hire you and works that is available but you don't like it.. I'm seriously going through this LOST period. What can I do to my life to make it more meaningful?

These days, I'm working as a personal carer. Don't want to talk about how bossy and fussy my employer is because I can never stop telling while I have new story everyday. But think of the good part, thanks her, I was drew closer to God. I never that insist in praying before. Because of her, I keep praying once I stepout of my house until reaching there. Sometimes, I just don't want the morning come so fast, meeting her is not really things I look forward to. However, I had tried to stay more positive  and leave my life in my Father's hand. Hopefully, everything will be better later on. I just hope that I won't be lost for so long.

I do remember you, because we met in the '90s!!

Thanks for Fashion Foie Gras's post "Giorgio Armani and Karl Marx in a Range Rover Sport Ad? Right beside Carolina Herrera and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe..." and the link provided, I am having fun on the website and really enjoying myself there right now.

Okay, you don't know what I am talking about? Yeah.. I am just found out a good website which brings you lots of ads around the world. Ads through all kind of media could be found here. Many of them are worth-thinking about and -trying to understand. I am quite JEALOUS with those who had those ideas and resulting in everyone likes them. I think I should spend more time on understanding the culture of the world so that I can be familiar to things that not only surrounding me, but also about others. Therefore, I can have more creative and unique ideas as well.

The above ads has received a GOLD medal on Ads of the World January 2013. Honestly, I am quite touched by the ads. As young adults from the '90s, we are the group who had caught the right time in getting along with technology. I remember when I was 8/9 years old, my family had our very first computer. Seriously at that time, computers were not famous and not many family had a computer. I was luck!! And '90s kids were in the transition of playing outdoor to indoor. Wholeheartedly, I really appreciated what Microsoft Internet Explorer brings us. These activities absolutely brings back lots of childhood memories. You grew up. So did we.  I love the creativity of this ads, it echos with us, the '90s kids.

I hope Internet Explorer does grow up like us. Being a better browser.

Here's the web page:

Sunday activity - Rymill Park & Bracegirdle

Nice Sunday afternoon to enjoy ourselves in the park. (though is a bit windy)

On Saturday night, while we were preparing for our Sunday BBQ in the park,
I suddenly recognised that our family were always ALWAYS preparing food for parties.
Seems like every week, at least a day / night, we must be preparing something big.
Our house is a, I so-called, "Party house" lol
Fancy a party? Just walk in!! <--- Sounds good, huh? I wish I have some neighbourhood like this.

( I should post the preparation here, but currently my iPad is occupied by my lovely friend, so I can only upload those from my phone.)

On Sunday, we had found the best position for BBQ!! Just right in front of the lake.
While enjoying the process of BBQ ( i didn't actually do the BBQ but eat), we took lots of pictures there with that  beautiful environment. We saw kids rowing boats on the lake as well.
To our surprise, actually lucky for us, we witnessed a wedding which was just right opposite to us, on the other side of the lake. How lovely it is.

{ yumyumyum...... lamb!!! }

{ Everyone is waiting for those delicious food in front of the grill }

{ Lots of food!!! Lamb.Beef. Chicken.Salad////// }

{ The family were enjoying the photo-shooting section }

{ Hi / Our cameraman of the day }

{ I love this pic!!the natural light brighten everything, isn't it? }

{ OMG//// This must be the new attraction on Rundle Mall!! By the way, they even make those seagulls squeak!!! So real!!}

After City Tour (for the girls) and my Church service, we went home for dinner.
Thanks for the Entertainment book, we treated ourselves some desserts at Bracegirdle.
Four of us, shouldn't order lots!! Otherwise, even sweet teeth couldn't bare (wink~*)

We had hot white chocolate!! In my very honest opinion, it is not sweet at all. It tasted a bit like milk but sweet one. But I kinda like it, I am not really like VERY sweet things. In fact, I love dark chocolate more, but just this time, I love this White Chocolate Drink

Belgian Waffle is just okay for me. On the waffle, there are some sugar rocks and they look like my fallen-out teeth!! Except that I quite like the softness / texture of the waffle. Eating it with the strawberries and ice cream, dipping it into the chocolate, Oh yummmmmm :)

The ice cream fondue was the most wanted plate to us!! Self-served ice cream set as I will say hahahaha....
I actually expected they provide, you know the little stove which have to light up the candle underneath in order to melt the chocolate above. But anyway, it's still a good dessert. We have fun in having this self- served ice cream. Once is enough though.

{ With my ladies ~* } - I think the lady who was sitting at the back, crossing her arm was the FOCUS of the photo lol   She caught my attention!!!

We had a good day.
And tired.

How do you usually enjoy your Sunday?

How do we celebrate Anzac Day?

How do you celebrate / fully utilized last week's ANZAC DAY holiday?
I don't know you but I believe you can guess mine!!
BINGO!!! We had SALMON hotpot at home.
Since my parents had bought this electrical stove to Adelaide,
me and my family always have hotpot.
You know it ~ Self-served, put everything in the pot and just wait,
it is much easier than thinking what should we cook tonight.
Therefore, we decided to have hotpot while inviting our friends to come over ALWAYS.

First of all, I have to declare that I have no idea and never tried to have salmon in hotpot ever.
While I heard about the idea that we were going to have SALMON hotpot,
I was totally like "Are you kidding me?? That's SALMON, man!! Should have sashimi instead!!"
However, it turned out we had the SUPER-EVER DELICIOUS soup base.

{ We were told to put the food on the skewers }
And our chef kept saying we were having BBQ pot instead of hotpot

{ Skillful helper helped putting the prawn on the skewers }

Did you see our main character of today? SALMON!!
We are trying to put pieces on the skewers so that we can have the BBQ pot.

{ Everyone was helping with the preparation}
I tried to relax and do nothing but it failed.

{Started by having some Shiraz champagne }

Luckily not all the salmon was being thrown into the hotpot,
our chef gave us a luxury entree - Salmon Sashimi !!
They were fat enough and tasted fresh.
Although the flavour of salmon is not as strong as those we ate from sushi shop,
they were fine for us with this reasonable price.

Everyone couldn't wait to have that,
and honestly I was hungry as well.
Totally forgot to take pictures during the process,
plus forgot to take photos of the they-said-it's-sweet-but-I-did-not-try apple crumble.

How did you enjoy your long weekend last week?
Hope you have had some good moments like us:)
